Today’s word is “soupçon” ... a slight trace, as of a particular taste or flavor. Dictionary.com)
Holy
The book is old as time,
With time’s lines drawn,
And the history of man,
And of angels.
Without thus soupçon of mystery,
Reality would be all there is
Or was or could be.
But there is a rumor of gods,
Long ago, and giants,
And a council of holy ones.
And the one most holy.
Without this we would be doomed
To repeat our sins forever.
But now there is hope.
Because of a still, small voice
That whispers, “It is true.”
