When the wind blows cold,
And rain beats down the street,
Wild animals domicile in place,
‘Til again the sun they greet.

They know where their safety lies,
And how long to stay,
No need for weather forecasts,
As within their nests they play.

They trust the sun will shine again,
And the past has proved them right,
So they close their eyes in peace,
And sigh into the night.
