Whirl
When things go down hill fast,
And a miracle’s the cure,
We wish for Genies and Jedi masters,
Their powers are their allure.
But in fairytales only,
Do these wondrous creatures dwell,
Overcoming evil,
Making sure all fears are quelled.
Meanwhile, here on earth,
There are sorrows all around,
And no easy answers,
No simple, healing sounds.
For those whose faith lives deep,
And comforts from within,
Though darkness seems relentless,
It is yet love that wins.
