Pause
Inbetween this Christmas and
Next year’s beginning bell,
Two gawsy, happy holidays,
All saddness is dispelled.
Soon enough we will return,
To troubles small and great,
We’ll fight to keep our heads up,
And go down pathways straight.
This respite has been merry,
With peace and love to share,
Perhaps we’ll make it last a while,
If we can dream to dare.
