An ideogram like a minus sign,
Might challenge our great brains,
But to us in this place and time,
It might just seem quite plain.
Then gaze upon some cuneiform,
And try to discern its story.
You might find some discrepancies,
What is vain and what is glory?
For me, I’ll take a pictogram,
Made of images so clear,
That there can be no mistake,
You’ll know when you are near.
