Disguise
Little kids play Superman,
Older kids cosplay,
Something about pretending,
Makes a worthwhile day.
You are the strongest one,
With powers unsurpassed,
Keep the costume on,
That’s how you make it last.
But when the play’s all done,
And the costume’s at your feet,
You’re left alone with you,
Quiet and incomplete.
