What
There’s little satisfaction,
When a movie can’t decide,
Whether tragedy or comedy,
Will be its goal and guide.
The seriocomic is thus born,
And as we laugh and cry,
We wonder in confusion,
As it ends with tearful, happy sigh.
On consideration,
Life is full of smiles and tears,
And all of us must learn to cope,
With happiness and fear.
