Reach
What is this thing that passes,
Between us, like a spark?
It ratifies our longings,
And leaves on us a mark.
We belong to those who gather,
To sing and dance and praise,
Between the water and the altar,
On which we longing gaze.
Our priesthood is a passion,
Christ the isthmus in between
Our terror and our glory,
He has once and always been.
