Frozen
Rising sun, rolling hills,
Icy trees, bird song shrill,
Ponds of glass, gleaming bright,
Winter's gifts all alight.
What cineaste could make it so,
Blue painted shadows on the snow,
Blessings frozen 'til the spring,
Waiting for what warmth will bring?
