Searching for the holy,
For a quiet place,
For a sanctuary,
Far from the human race.
A place of perfect resting,
Forgiven of all sin,
How to find this respite,
Is where we should begin.
We know we will not find it,
At our rapid pace,
Or on motioned screens,
That stand before our face.
It will take a stillness
We're unused to here,
But there is nowhere inviolable,
Apart from God's good cheer.
