Dysphemism ... What?

Today's word is "dysphemism" ... DIS-fuh-miz-uhm ... the substitution of a harsh, disparaging, or unpleasant expression for a more neutral one. (Dictionary.com)

What?
Cloudy skies and rain,
Howling winds and ice,
The forcast's dyspheministic,
"Blizzard" would be twice as nice.

Then the storm comes round,
It lasts for half an hour,
The sprinkles barely land,
There's hardly any power.

Our imaginations,
Wouldn't run like this away,
If accuracy ruled ...
We'd mean just what we say.
