Killing time is common,
But why, is another matter,
The ticking and the tocking ...
That's how the moments shatter.
We linger here awhile,
And then our life is done,
We should not waste a second,
And all irrelevancies shun.
Yet we spend our days,
On gaming and T.V.
In the end we'll wonder,
Why we did not see.
The finest of chronometers,
Cannot track our years,
Or trace the broken moments,
Left in this trail of tears.
