Train
Sitting in the vista dome,
Watching the Rockies rise,
An amazing, awesome sight,
For a child to realize.
I was coming from the lowlands,
Where all is dunes and fields,
The rising cordillera,
Had secrets to reveal.
Towering virgin pines,
Clinging to valley walls,
Tresseled rivers raging,
Rocky waterfalls.
All was nature scented,
The very air alive,
Beauty like a spirit,
In those forests thrives.
