Climb
Standing in the light of change,
is there a standard?
An unwritten rule of goodness?
Something guaranteeing rectitude?
Or are we on our own here,
tugging at our bootstraps ...
Struggling to lift our estimate of ourselves,
To show the world our superiority?
Perhaps this view we have as
Masters of our Fate, and everyone else's,
Is skewed by our perception.
And perhaps, there is another point,
Where the view is also clear. If we could only
Find the map and start the journey.
