Jeremiad ... Fussbudget

Today's word "jeremiad" ... Jerry-uh-MAHY-uh d ... a prolonged lamentation or mournful complaint. (Dictionary.com)

Fussbudget
There's a racket at the feeder,
A jeremiad of discontent,
A loud and squirrelly admonition,
As he wonders where his snacks all went.

He'd bite the hand that feeds him,
Not knowing the connection,
Between that generous appendage,
And his next crunchy confection.
