What?
In the whirl of nightly news,
Furphys fly with ease,
Out of the many talking heads,
Who are only out to please.
They really want good ratings,
So everything is an alert,
Even boring moments,
That leave one most inert.
It always makes me wonder,
If like the boy who wolf did call,
That an event momentous,
Might on deaf ears fall.
