Ignus fatuus ... Toothsome

Today's word is ignus fatuus ... Ig-nis fach-oo-uh s ... Something deluding or misleading. (Dictionary.com)

Toothsome
Halloween's goblins have gone to bed,
The candy's been tested and tried,
The ignus fatuus of costumed heads,
Has revealed little children, shy.

The moon will continue on its path,
The wind and rain blow wild,
But there will be no spooky wrath,
In the dreams of the sleeping child.
