Bromide ... Say

Say
Please be honest with me,
Say what you really mean,
Don't lead me on with lies,
Or leave me in a dream.

All the sad, sad bromides,
That hide our truest thoughts,
Also hide our caring,
And daring what we aught.

So do not fear your feelings,
We need eachother so,
Give all you have with joy,
To others as you go.
