Today’s word is “fetching” … charming; captivating. (Dictionary.com)
Petals
Most of the fetching flowers are gone,
Some will wait for spring,
They’ll come back with radiance,
And again the birds will sing.
In the mean time (aptly named),
The time of snow and ice,
Pretty pictures on the wall,
And houseplants must suffice.
Every year we go through this,
Goodbyes said in sorrow,
Then the sad long waiting time,
With the hope of bright tomorrows.
