Today’s word is “wampum” … cylindrical beads made from shells, pierced and strung, used by North American Indians as a medium of exchange, for ornaments, and for ceremonial and sometimes spiritual purposes. (Dictionary.com)
Treasure
Coins and bills and wampum,
Bricks and bars of gold,
Everything, it has its price,
Near everything is sold.
Except of course for freedom,
For feelings and for friends,
For beauty, faith and trust,
Things which have no end.
