Chatter
You could hear him calling,
Canting from his branch,
Throwing noisy lectures,
To those who passed by chance.
No one had abused him,
Or chased him ‘round his tree,
But he was full of snarkiness,
Though completely free.
Sometimes the very young,
Scream abuse and scorn,
Not realizing their good fortune,
When they wake up each morn.
