Chewy
Normally strepitous,
He was busy with his treat,
Dismantling a pretty gourd,
The pieces at his feet.
He started with the pumpkin,
Sitting on the stairs,
It barely lasted Halloween,
It is no longer there.
Between him and the snow,
Fall decorations are no more,
Time to light the Christmas tree,
And get the wreath for the front door.
