Strive
Some days it's all that we can do,
To get from morn to night alive,
No, nothing's really giving chase,
Yet it's toward twilight that we strive.
The timid looking backward, run,
Terrified of what they'll see,
The lionhearted charge ahead,
Percieving their sure victory.
The wise ones though, sit silently,
Breathing slow minutes at a time,
Noting uncounted blessings,
Enraptured with their God's design.
