Misty

In the early afternoon,

That oscitant time of day,

A wave as heavy as the sea,

Breaks upon my way.

I try to swim against its weight,

But it holds a magic spell,

I slowly give up consciousness,

To its mighty swell.

It sweeps me to a place unknown,

Where the thunder sounds,

And when I wake, I live again,

On solid, earthen ground.
