What difference in the scheme of things,
Can a puissant prayer make?
Can it cut through circumstance,
Or change the course of a mistake?
Can it take a willful soul,
And make it turn around?
Or move the path of a great storm,
Where wind and rain abound?
What of a different sort of change,
Not spoken much about,
Which happens in the hearts of those,
Who move to faith from doubt.
There are powers not understood,
By our feeble minds,
But spirit moves 'round and within,
As about us love does wind.
