Comity ... Defame

Today's word is "comity" ... KOM-i-tee ... mutual courtesy; civility. (Dictionary.com)

Defame

Well, we know what's missing,

In these fateful days,

Comity and kindness,

In our common ways.

Unkind words are flying,

To the opposing side,

And they respond with fury,

Slinging insults far and wide.

Could thoughts of a shared future,

And the good that's greater,
Bring some resolution,
For our work together, later?
