Give
In a different world,
Perhaps we wouldn't be,
Preoccupied with stuff,
To such a great degree.
As it is however,
We look for succorance,
In work, and health and leisure,
For an unending second chance.
If our hearts were humble,
We might give more of our gain,
To ease the suffering of others,
Finding peace instead of pain.
