Today's word is "glitterati" ... glit-uh-RAH-tee ... wealthy or famous people who conspicuously or ostentatiously attend fashionable events. (dictionary.com)
Glance
When cameras flash,
The ones with cash,
Or those renowned,
Appear in gowns,
To strut and preen,
So they are seen,
By everyone,
Under the sun,
Or moon.
But glitterati,
At those parties,
Can't hold a candle,
To those who dangle,
True courage rare,
Who do and dare,
Upon real stages,
As the ages,
Pass.
