Integument … Oceanic

Today’s word is “integument” … natural covering, as skin, shell, or rind. (Dictionary.com)

Oceanic
There was a little octopus,
Who was feeling quite exposed,
He was looking for a place,
To hide and seek repose.

He searched until he found it,
An integument most fine,
A coconut had lost it’s shell,
The halves, fortuitous signs.

He gathered them together,
And climbed inside the one,
Then pulled the other over,
Safe! His search was done!
