Today’s word is “sirenic” ... sahy-ren-ik ... melodious, tempting, or alluring. (Dictionary.com)
Break
The sun came back today,
After a week of snow
That blocked and stopped our way,
Trapped us, so we couldn’t go.
The sirenic sound of plows,
Cheered us as they came,
Freedom they allowed,
In this frozen game.
We thank God for heat,
For warm fires and for lights,
For plow drivers on our streets,
Who work both day and night.
