Today's word is "phenology" ... fi-nol-uh-jee ... the science dealing with the influence of climate on the recurrence of such annual phenomena of animal and plant life as budding and bird migrations. (Dictionary.com)
Why?
People study everything,
Things that grovel, things with wings,
Stars and clouds and bumblebees,
Why you heal from a skinned knee.
Things above, below within,
Inside or outside of your skin,
Even things you cannot see,
Math, physics or theology.
Math, physics or theology.
Phenology, astronomy,
Or even biology,
No matter where on earth you go,
Science has been there head to toe.
