Polaroid
Windy hands brush the water;
their rippled fingerprint all that remains.
A gull swoops. Crickets call.
Warm sun slants between opacus clouds.
White geese shuttle to and fro,
concentric circles encompassing lazy paddling.
Voices waft from neighboring spaces,
comfortable in conversation.
Summer stalks toward autumn,
open arms beckoning.
