Coincident ... Dapple

Today's word is "coincident" ... koh-IN-si-duhnt ... happening at the same time. (Dictionary.com)

Dapple
Treading lightly through the wood,
Coincident with the dawn,
Come delicate on silent feet,
A doe with tiny fawn.

With frozen stance and wary eyes,
She barely breathes her fear,
Protecting well her little one,
From anyone too near.

Their camouflage is perfect,
Painted into the tremulous trees,
Shifting shadowed sunlight,
Envelopes, holds and frees.
